As reported here by Rapid TV News, a deal has been agreed by Cable & Wireless Communications to broadcast all 380 Premier League football games across 32 Carribean countries. It will all be shown on the new network, Flow Sports.
The deal lasts three seasons and includes mobile clip rights, which mean consumers can see goals and highlights on their phone.
Flow Sports will be launched with Premier League football as it’s spearhead but will have rights to the NFL and 2016 Olympics.
The deal signifies further growth of the Premier League’s reach. It also means an abundance of marketing opportunities in a somewhat untouched market. For football itself, it means more money from sponsors as the audience grows.
